Taconic Announces ISO9001:2000 Registration for Petersburgh (NY) Plant

Taconic today announced that they have received approval of their Quality Management System (QMS) to the ISO 9001:2000 Standards by ISOQAR. Taconic's QMS has been certified in accordance with the American National Standards Institute Registrar Accreditation Board (ANSI*RAB) and with the United Kingdom Accreditation Systems (UKAS) Standards. The Certification is applicable to their corporate headquarters, comprised of their Industrial Products, Advanced Dielectrics, Architectural Fabrics and Food Products Divisions located in Petersburgh, New York.

In making the announcement, Taconic's Co-CEO Jim O'Keefe remarked, "QMS is a strategic component of the company's business plan and is embedded in our corporate culture."

Bruce Carnevale, Quality Manager, added "Our success in gaining ISO registration is due to total employee involvement during each step of the implementation. Our ISO registration is a continuation of our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction."

Taconic International Ltd., Mullingar, Ireland, received ISO 9002 registration in 1993.
