Taconic remains committed to the TacPreg product line
One year ago, Isola and Taconic announced an industry
alliance to jointly develop, market and manufacture materials for high-speed digital
applications under the trade names TacPreg and IS630. Today, Isola is announcing they
will no longer continue to market the IS630 product. Restrictions in the original
agreement precluded Isola's participation in certain market segments and became a factor
in this decision.
Taconic remains committed to the product line and will continue marketing and
manufacturing TacPreg prepregs and TacLam 3200 laminates for microwave and digital
applications from their US manufacturing site where capacity is sufficient to serve
current industry needs. When demand does accelerate, capacity will be expanded to meet
global demand. Additionally, Isola will continue manufacturing the product for some
period of time.
