Taconic Purchases Teradyne Laminates Plant

Today Taconic announced it has purchased Teradyne's laminate facility in La Verne, California, USA. The former Synthane Taylor plant will be used to manufacture TacPreg® prepregs and TacLam® laminates for high layer count high-speed digital and microwave applications.

Taconic President and Co-CEO Jim O'Keefe commented, "Purchasing Teradyne's epoxy-coating and lamination facility allows Taconic to complete the Supply Chain on its patented TacPreg® product line and assures customers of a seamless delivery system for prepreg and laminate substrates. Multiple treaters and presses at the site assure sufficient capacity for the foreseeable future. While other laminate manufacturers may be contracting operations, Taconic continues to invest in its microwave and high-speed digital materials business where low-loss requirements continue to spur demand for the company's products."
